  I am shocked and saddened to learn of Mark's death and I pray for the peace of God to comfort his wife and family in their tragic loss.  I got to know Mark sitting next to him in biology in seventh grade and playing across the line from him in ninth grade.  Whether it was the books or opposing linemen, Mark was a hard hitter.  Riding back and forth from Mobile to Tuscaloosa with him, he never let on that he was any different than any other student, but I knew better.  I knew several guys on the football team at Bama, lots of tough guys, several guys who were tough and smart, but guys like Mark who were tough, smart and humble were a rare breed.  RTR
